Church Stretton Tennis Club is affiliated to the Lawn Tennis Association and club members are registered with British Tennis (Lite Membership)

Tennis Club Sessions

General club play takes place on Monday and Friday evenings plus Sunday mornings. Starting time will depend upon the time of year and daylight as the club does not have floodlighting.  In addition in 2019 there is an informal Ladies session at 2 pm on Thursday afternoons.  For further information please contact the club secretary - contact details on the Club Officials page.

Competitions

During the summer the Club takes part in the Shropshire Tennis Babolat Summer League and in 2018 has entered two men’s teams.  Regrettably there are insufficient ladies available to form a Ladies Team and it is very much hoped that it will be possible to re-enter a team next year.  One mixed team will be entered in the Autumn League.

NB  Home matches take place during Club sessions on some Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays so there is less court availability for general playing during those times.

A club members’s tournament is usually arranged once or twice a year.

Tennis balls are provided by the club but you will need your own racket.

NEW FOR 2018

Wednesday evenings from 6.30 will be dedicated to “Rusty Racquets”, Improves and/or New Members.  There is no need to book in advance, just turn up.  There will always be a club member present who can help you.

COACHING IN 2019

Coaching will begin on 7th June:

              Tennis for Kids (TFK) 5.30-6.15pm,
              Teenagers 6.15-7.00 pm
              Adults 7.00-7.45 pm
